There are several different kinds of events displayed on the calendar:
- Writing workshops, retreats, and writing-related events shared by AWA Affiliates in purple
- AWA-sponsored monthly online writing sessions in yellow
- AWA-sponsored Power of Story writing sessions and series in green
- Occasional other AWA-sponsored events open to writers in blue
- AWA’s Online Workshop Leadership Trainings, Post-Certificate Trainings, and other events geared toward AWA-certified facilitators in orange
Affiliate events are organized separately from AWA and are not included in our Writer Membership. Please get in touch with the listed facilitator(s) directly with any questions. Some events are one-off and some are ongoing. We ask affiliates to list only the first in any ongoing group, so note how many weeks it will meet in the event title or description.
