Post-Certificate Training: Manuscript Review

FreeOn September 23rd, our topic is Manuscript Review.
By applying the AWA Method to reviewing manuscripts, writers in your workshops will learn how to offer each other a balanced and respectful assessment of their craft. We will go through the steps of accepting manuscripts, helping workshop members read and respond to manuscripts, and balancing critique within the workshop. We will review two manuscripts during the module, one poetry and one fiction. Participants will experience a real-time manuscript review and have time to ask questions and discuss observations and concerns. Adding manuscript reviews as part of your writing workshops will allow you to develop your knowledge of craft, support your writers through revision, and give you a more solid base on which to establish your fee.
To join, you will need access to a computer, tablet, or smartphone with a microphone and video camera as well as a strong internet connection. If you have any technical questions about participating, please reach out to info@amherstwriters.org.
