Mining Memories with Teresa Burns Gunther

May 13, 2023 at 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm EDT

$10 – $20

Flannery O’Connor said, “Anybody who has survived his childhood has enough information about life to last him the rest of his days.”

In this workshop we’ll mine the treasure trove of our memories to create story—fiction or creative non-fiction—and explore tools for growing a new piece and ways to edit productively to write our work home.

Teresa is an award-winning author whose fiction and nonfiction have been published widely in US and international literary journals and anthologies. Her story collection Hold Off The Night, a Finalist for the Orison Book Prize 2019, is forthcoming from Truth Serum Press, a subsidiary of Bequem Publishing, April 2023. Her stories have been recognized in numerous contests; her story “War Paint” was awarded the 52nd New Millennium Award for Fiction, 2022. She is the founder of Lakeshore Writers Workshop where she leads workshops and classes and offers coaching and developmental editing services.
