From How it Works : We got this all down on paper and looked at it. (p.69 BB). Over and over again the book tells us that we must put it down on paper, to “place them before us in black and white”. But for so many of us, and so much of the time we get stuck when putting pen to paper. This workshop is for getting unstuck together. Once a week we will get it down on paper. Come and do the work with others fellows from any fellowship. This workshop is offered for free.

Dr. Meadow Jones received her PhD from the University of Illinois. Her dissertation “Archiving the Trauma Diaspora: Affective Artifacts in the Higher Education Arts Classroom” focused on the use of artistic and material practices in the redress of trauma. In combination with her experience as an AWA facilitator she has adapted her research and created trauma responsive curriculum and workshops. She is social practice artist, an award winning filmmaker and community organizer. Her work has been published in literary journals, peer reviewed scientific journals, poetry collections, books and chapbooks. She has facilitated arts and writing practices for diverse populations including undergraduates, artists, activists, teachers, teenagers, trauma survivors, prisoners, physicians and friends.
