An online workshop facilitated in the AWA method, offering a safe space for caregivers to connect, express themselves and experience writing with a group of peers living with both the joys, and challenges that come along with caring for other(s). It is hoped that in having your writing listened to, and in turn, bearing witness to the writing of others on a similar path, you will affirm that you are not alone on your caregiver journey.
Deborah Bayer has been a certified AWA affiliate since 2017. She’s participated in many AWA groups. After she retired from her medical practice, she began leading groups online. Her approach is influenced by skills she learned in Narrative Medicine. Writers of all levels are welcome, but people adjacent to the healthcare system (as practitioners or due to personal/family illness) will get the most benefit from this session
