Description
Marian Calabro trained as an AWA affiliate in the early 2000s with Pat Schneider. She is the author of the award-winning "Perilous Journey of the Donner Party" (Houghton Mifflin). Her poems and essays have appeared such publications as Brushfire, Italian Americana, Pennsylvania English, Peregrine, and The Smart Set. National Public Radio aired one of her sonnets for National Poetry Month in 2023. Her plays have been produced at community theaters in New York City and New Jersey, her home state. Marian is a Rutgers College graduate and a popular writing workshop leader at Montclair (NJ) Public Library’s Adult School.
