Short Description
Alex Cafarelli leads writing workshops for queer and trans folks online and in person in Toronto, Ontario.

Unicorn Medicine makes space for queer and trans folks to write history in the making as we are experiencing it, heal our depleted selves in a supportive community, and magic revolutions into being. With a strong commitment to confidentiality and craft, these workshops generate creative writing which spans genres—from memoir to poetry to short stories, from science fiction to playwriting to novels. In this hands-on workshop for new and seasoned writers, we tap into our authentic writing voices, past the critic, and into the stories our hearts wish to tell.

Alex Cafarelli is a neurodivergent genderqueer femme Jewish Witch writer, performer, and professional gardener. They are a MFA Candidate in Creative Writing at the University of Guelph and co-host of the Speakeasy Reading Series.
